Owner, Lead Designer
My name is Ashleigh. I founded Harty Homes in 2021 with a mission to create homes that inspire people to find their true style.
I'm the daughter of a realtor, and I've always been a creative and artistic person. I studied dance and music in high school and college, played guitar and was a member of several bands. I attended the University of South Carolina, where I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice while performing as a member of the university's show choir.
From 2006 until 2022, I worked as an investigator. I performed contract work as a compliance investigator for health departments in three states and, in 2009, became a legal investigator. I worked for a local law firm for 13 years.
I learned so much during my career as an investigator. I listened carefully to clients and witnesses, capturing important details to strengthen our case. As a legal investigator, I learned that persistence, attention to detail, transparency, and strong client connections were essential to my success.
Th majority of my investigative work involved asbestos litigation, which required me to learn about various engineering, industrial, and construction jobs. Communicating and working with various trades and artisans has always been one the best aspects of the work.
In 2020, I decided to pursue my passion of interior design. I enrolled in the Interior Design program through the New York Institute of Art and Design, and graduated in 2022.
I am currently a member of the Interior Design Society (IDS), the Designer Society of America (DSA) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).
Administrative Assistant
My name is Han, and I joined the Harty Homes team in 2024. My professional career has included primarily government administration, but one of my greatest passions is art and design. I am a watercolor and black ink floral artist. Growing up in eastern Canada has made me love nature - when I’m not painting, you can usually find me outside, most likely on a walk with our puppy.
